Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General FAQs

Where is Design-It Day Automotive held?

It’s all online! Register with the form on this page to get access to Design-It Day Automotive presentations, content, and more.

What will I learn in each content track?

Powertrain: YAGEO Group automotive powertrain solutions help deliver analytics and intelligence to the powertrain subsystem of a vehicle. Automotive powertrains require components that can withstand harsh temperatures up to +200°C and beyond. The powertrain subsystem of a vehicle comprises all the devices and systems in charge of the car's propulsion. This includes the engine, transmission, energy recovery systems, electric motors, and all their associated sensors and controllers.

On-board Electronics: YAGEO Group automotive on-board electronics enable safer, more comfortable, and better performing electric vehicles (EVs). Components used in on-board electronic systems, from capacitors to chokes, must have high efficiency and reliability in a small form factor for a superior driving experience. Automotive on-board electronics play a central role in many EV functions, including engine power, driver assistance, navigation, in-vehicle infotainment, and much more.

Charging Systems: YAGEO Group automotive charging systems help achieve the highest level of power efficiency in electric vehicles (EVs). Charging systems require components that generate the least amount of heat when in use, as excess heat can affect charging system performance. The charging system, which includes charging stations, on-board battery chargers, and EV batteries, is responsible for storing, converting, and distributing power into all the parts of the electric vehicle, from the powertrain to the air conditioner.

Are there video recordings of the presentations?

Yes. These video recordings are available to view in the virtual event space. Register using the form on this page to view them.
